Vancouver Harbour Heliport Ramp Replacements

Pacific Heliport Services Limited proposes to replace its east and west floating helipad access ramps with new wider steel ramps. The ramps will be designed to be more aesthetically pleasing while maintaining the stiff-leg function of the ramps as part of the mooring system for the helipad float. The proposed new west access ramp will be 3 metres wide, designed to provide pedestrian access and occasional access to small snow removal vehicles. The proposed new east access ramp will be 2.1 metres wide, designed to provide access to pedestrians and small golf cart type vehicles.

The Project will also include removing and disposing of the existing deteriorating ramps and removing and reinstalling electrical lines, fuel lines, and other services currently mounted on the existing ramps. Additionally, new security access gates will be installed at the shore end of each new ramps.

Works are proposed to be conducted outside port authority standard hours.
