Boys Road Community Improvement Project

The purpose of the Boys Road Community Improvements Project is to: replace or repair the existing wastewater collection system, install lighting for streets and sidewalks, install security cameras at the wastewater pump or lift stations, install asphalt sidewalks on one side of majority of the existing roads, install a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system at each of the pump or lift stations, improve the existing drainage to accommodate a 5-year minor precipitation event, replace failed drainage infrastructure on Mulaqw Road, improve site grading of residential lots, improve landscaping of the right-of-ways, repave majority of the existing road network. The Boys Road Subdivision is located on Cowichan 1, 1.5 km southeast of the City of Duncan (COD).

Public Notice - Start of Public Comment Period

 

[1/16/2026] – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until February 16, 2026.

 All comments received will be considered public.
