The Proposed Project

The Permit Holder proposes to carry out physical activities related to the Dust Suppression Upgrade project up until November 30, 2020. This would require an extension to the approved Dust Suppression Upgrade project permit (PER 16-072), which has an expiry of May 31, 2020.

Neptune Bulk Terminals (Canada) Ltd. exports metallurgical coal to overseas markets. Coal is unloaded from unit trains at the terminal, and stockpiled on site. Municipal water is applied to the open stockpiles using a spray system to mitigate dust during dry or windy conditions.
