Tlowitsis Nation-Nenagwas Village Development

Tlowitsis Nation purchased 635 acres of land on the southern boundary of the City of Campbell River to build a Community for their people who have not had a village in 55 years.  The project will take place on reserve land and may receive funding from the Department of Indigenous Services Canada.  The village infrastructure will include water supply, a wastewater system with an ocean outfall, roadways throughout the village and main roads to access the village as well other infrastructures such as schools, daycare, community center and a health center.  A total of 183 lots will be developed in 3 phases over a 25 years span.  Phase 1 will include 101 lots.
