Public notice Railyard Expansion - Richardson

Richardson are proposing a rail-focused expansion of their North Vancouver terminal. The proposed expansion focuses on the following pieces of work: 

  • Construction of 15 additional storage tracks; 
  • Realignment of tracks within the existing yard;  
  • Addition of crossovers and turnouts within the existing yard;  
  • Installation of truck turnaround area, emergency access road and construction of new vehicular access gates (security and emergency); and 
  • Various associated works such as installation of new lighting, fencing and utilities.

November 15, 2021 – As part of its Project and Environmental Review process, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority must determine whether the proposed Railyard Expansion - Richardson, at Richardson’s Terminal located at 375 Low Level Road, North Vancouver, BC is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Written comments to be received by December 14, 2021.
