Construction of Rocky Point Fenced Laydown Area - Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which involves the excavation and removal of soft organics which will be used on site to accommodate levelling as best as possible before ground barrier cloth is laid in place and top dressed with ¾ minus gravel and compacted. The project will require the removal of some of the vegetation and trees. Every effort to minimize tree removal will be made. Additionally, some of the area will be fenced once levelled and terraced. Finally, some of the area will be used for parking for the Base Logistics Transport Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Special Purpose Vehicles that are periodically located at Rocky Point.
