Upgrade B38 Pumphouse - Canadian Forces Base Comox

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The Project will involve removal of existing asphalt in the area, construction of the new building/pumphouse systems including: fire booster pumps, domestic water pumps, diesel generators, system controls, surrounding infrastructure, as well as a basement/lowered floor to accommodate the pumps, and connection of the building to existing utilities in the surrounding area. Currently, there is no plan for demolition of the existing B38 pumphouse. This work will involve approximately 400 square meters of excavated material/soils and imported fill as required. Anticipated equipment includes excavator(s), flatbed truck, dump truck(s), crane, various vehicles, and handheld tools/equipment.
