MOTI permits for Semiahmoo Road Remediation and Widening

Semiahmoo First Nation (SFN) is supporting the remediation and upgrade of a road through the reserve.  The road was removed from reserve and will be re-added to reserve once the remediation and upgrades have been completed.  While most of the work being completed by MOTI and its contractors is on the Right-of-Way (Provincial land), areas on both sides of the the RoW will be affected by the road widening and road level raising works, and require a section 28(2) permit authorizing these activities.

The work will include removal and disposal of contaminated soil, infrastructure upgrades and widening of the road along a 1,700 meter existing road corridor and raising the road level along 600 m of the corridor.

This project will take place on Semiahmoo designated for leasing lands and CP lands. Legal Description: Portions of Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10-1, REM 11, 59, 60, 61, REM 62, 72 (Road) and 73, Semiahmoo Indian Reserve, Plans BC1107, 107193, 107361 and 107362 CLSR
