Addition and Renovation of the Fire-hall (B163) - Canadian Forces Base Comox

The 19 Wing Comox Firehall requires a renovation to the existing building to provide additional space and more efficient use of existing areas to better support their operations. The Project includes building expansion at the Southwest corner, dormitory renovation, renovation of the main entrance washroom, existing office space to be re-purposed as a multi-purpose shower, change, and washroom area and communications room to replace double door with exterior door. HVAC system to be upgraded. Fluorescent light tubes might be changed. Project is being undertaken by Department of National Defence, 19 Wing Comox, Real Property Operations.


Latest update

March 17, 2023 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
