City of Powell River - Consolidated Waste Water Treatment Project

The City of Powell River is proposing to construct and operate a new Consolidated Waste Water Treatment Plan that will combine the flows from the three existing plants and will be designed and operated to meet all provincial and federal treatment requirements.  A small component of this project will take place on lands administered by Transport Canada.  This review will consider the impact of the project within the federally administered land which will include removal of the existing pipe and trenching for the new pipe in the foreshore and the road adjacent to the marine environment.
