Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD) Rocky Point Road Surface Regrading - Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The roads at Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD) Rocky Point require annual regrading and maintenance. All activities including equipment/vehicle movements and storage/laydown areas will be limited to existing roads and parking lots. There will be no off-road vehicle access and no placement of materials in ditches and/or other vegetated areas. There will be no in-water work associated with these road maintenance activities.

April 7, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
