Heidelberg Materials Barclay Point Barge Offloading Facility

Heidelberg Materials is proposing to build a barge offloading facility near Barclay Point in Victoria Upper Harbour, British Columbia. The Project will involve dredging of the berth, as well as installation of a steel conveyor head frame supported by 4 steel pilings with a material conveyor extending to the shore above the high tide line. This includes installation of approximately five steel berthing dolphins perpendicular to the shoreline spanned by wooden boomsticks.

Transport Canada (TC) is reviewing the project for approval under the Canadian Navigable Waters Act (CNWA) and the Public Ports and Public Port Facilities Regulations (PPPPFR), as the proposed project falls within lands administered by Transport Canada. TC will also be issuing a lease to enable the work.
