Proposed Wellsite Expansion within 11-06-043-09W5M and associated Borrow Pit in Sunchild Indian Reserve

The proposed wellsite expansion by TAQA North Ltd  is being constructed within 11-06-43-9W5M in Sunchild Reserve to allow for the drilling of 2 additional gas wells from an existing lease. The borrow pit is located entirely within the footprint of an existing borrow pit. Additional footprint for this project will be 0.73 ha yielding to a total of 2.22 ha (existing plus new footprint).

Latest update

March 9, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. IOGC is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
