Tosguna Satellite Police Station at Redwood Meadows

Tsuut'ina Nation is proposing to construct a satellite police station at Redwood Meadows. The proposed police station would be located across the road from the current Redwood Meadows Emergency Services building. The police station will be made up of prefabricated modular buildings with three parking areas and access to highway 20.  The entire development footprint will be approximately 2000 meters squared.  The community water treatment and wastewater management systems will provide service to the site. The site is currently undeveloped. Proposed project activities include clearing of vegetation, topsoil removal, installation of underground utilities, and grading.

All clearing will occur outside of the bird nesting and rearing period. The project is not located near any waterbodies or wetlands. Wildlife species at risk are not anticipated to be present in the project construction area.
