Sunshine Village Ski Resort Ski Out Widening Tree Removal 2023

Sunshine Village Ski Resort has proposed to remove one island of trees in a strategic location along the ski out. The objective is to widen the ski out in a location where congestion commonly occurs during peak times of the day to improve skier safety. The tree island removal is ~9290m2. Removal will be completed by feller buncher equipment. Stumps will remain in place to minimize ground disturbance. Proposed debris disposal methods is piling and burning.
