Settlers Road Widening

The proposed project will widen the single-lane section to accommodate two-lane traffic. As well, widen two nearby sections of road to improve the line of site and road safety. The project location is between kilometre five and six and begins at approximately 50°40'6.72"N 115°51'14.87"W. The scope of work includes tree and vegetation removal, slope excavation, and debris removal.


Latest update

July 15 2026 – Parks Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Parks Canada is inviting public comments until August 14 2026 respecting that determination.
