Creation of a fish migration barrier on Margaret Creek to prevent non-native fish from migrating back into Margaret Lake following the removal of non-native brook trout and reintroduction of Westslope cutthroat trout.
This project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment. It will involve using explosives to create a fish barrier in Margaret Creek above Hector Lake. This project is part of a larger recovery strategy for endangered westslope cutthroat trout.
