Pyramid Lake Resort Wastewater Treatment Plant and Disposal System

Pursuit Collection is proposing to replace and upgrade the Pyramid Lake Resort's wastewater infrastructure. The proposed work comprises of constructing a new Wastewater Treatment Plant, installing an advance treatment system, and installing an open (surface) discharge system. To accommodate the configuration of the new system, a change is required to the existing license of occupation that is adjacent to the Pyramid Lake Resort's leasehold, which is used for the purposes of wastewater treatment. The current Licence of Occupation area is 18,583 m2, and would be reconfigured with a net reduction in area of 93m2. Some new land will be disturbed, and the area of the existing septic field will be restored in order to return to natural conditions. The upgraded wastewater system will enable Pyramid Lake Resort to treat and dispose of wastewater produced on site, improving the resort's environmental performance.
