Trans Mountain Mainline Optimization Project – Jasper Pump Station Expansion

Trans Mountain has proposed to build a new pump station to increase petroleum throughput volumes of Line 2. A pump station for Line 1 has existed in Jasper National Park since 1953 and was modified during the Anchor Loop expansion in 2008. The proposed Project involves installation of a second pump station within the fenced footprint of the existing facility, and will require a civil construction scope including earthworks, a retention pond, and a synthetic liner to manage stormwater and capture potential spills. New buildings, power infrastructure, and mechanical, electrical, and communications equipment will be installed on site. Temporary laydown area and workspace will be required. All works will remain within Trans Mountain's existing leased parcel, and all above-ground infrastructure will remain within the fenced portion thereof.
