Johnston Canyon Railing Extension

The Project consists of seven sections of new railings which when installed, will create a continuous railing between the end of Catwalk 6 and the beginning of Catwalk 7, as well as from Catwalk 7 to the Upper Falls Lookout. The new railing will follow the existing trail alignment, minimizing any revisions to existing elements (wooden curbs, boardwalks). A continuous railing will reduce damage to surrounding areas by deterring informal trail use and will reduce the need for rehabilitation of informal trails created and used by visitors leaving the official trail.
