Alexander First Nation Mamawatoskewin Prevention Building

Alexander First Nation under CHRT 41 is building a new office building project, called the Mamawatoskewin Prevention Building. It will be a new two-storey building (CFS Centre) with no basement structure and with an approximate footprint of 1,500 m2. Additionally, there will be an unheated garage building with an approximate footprint of 500 m2, an outdoor gazebo, plaza area, and a firefighting pond measuring approximately 15 x 35 m and 3 m deep. Associated access roads and parking areas will also be constructed.


Latest update

April 28, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its Notice of Determination (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
