Beaver Lake New School

Beaver Lake Cree Nation intends to construct a new Indigenous education facility in Beaver Lake Cree Nation Band No. 460. This facility includes a new school, support to adult education programs, a dedicated elders and mentor space, and a comfortable resource area. The school will be 1,900 square meters and is in a central area to the community, located in proximity to administration, commercial, and residential developments.

May 23, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its Notice of Determination (iaac-aeic.gc.ca) and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
