Heart Lake Water Treatment Plant and Intake Design

Heart Lake First Nation is constructing a new water treatment plant (WTP) and raw water intake and the associated geotechnical investigation. The new proposed location for the WTP and intake is south of existing, within NW-36-069-11-W4M. The existing intake location within Heart Lake may be used with raw water line realignment to the new WTP location.

End of Public Comment Period 

April 11, 2025 - The public period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
