OS-7250 Authorization to Construct and Operate a Surface Lease for an access road and a multi-well pad

A surface lease consisting of a 13.52 m long access road and 2.35 ha area for drilling and operating a multi-well pad will be constructed and maintained for the operating life of the wells, then decommissioned and reclaimed before the lease agreement is surrendered.

The proposed padsite has been situated near an existing all-weather access road in order to reduce the length of new access road as well as to reduce fragmentation in the general project area. The surveyed surface location provides one surface location for 11 bottomhole wells, resulting in less overall footprint as compared to multiple surface locations.  Some wetland impact will occur as a result of the padsite construction. No evidence of wildlife was observed at any of the wetlands directly impacted by the proposed wellsite.

Latest update

October 11, 2023 - Indian Oil and Gas Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
