Upgrade Railhead at Garrison Wainwright

This project involves improvements to the existing railhead facility at Garrison Wainwright. Project design is scheduled for 2020. Construction is proposed for 2020 or 2021. Project activities include:
· upgrade parking lot with new gravel
· upgrade loading facilities
· upgrade approaches
· re-build bison handling area (corrals)
· improve site drainage
· upgrade lighting
· survey for secondary entrance/exit for the Garrison

Latest update

March 19, 2021 – The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
