Montana First Nation Emergency Road Repairs

Complete repairs to flood damaged roads and ditches at select locations and make improvements to help prevent additional flood damage at those locations.

Work includes clearing/grubbing and reshaping existing ditches, installation of culverts and graveling existing roadways to raise road elevation and create road crown for drainage.

A total of 16 locations have been identified for repairs within the road right of way.  The total approximate length of road improvements is 2.8 km. There are marshes and shallow open water areas adjacent to a number of the improvement locations. See attached site map which shows the numbered locations for improvements.

Latest update

December 10, 2020 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
