Alexander First Nation - Big Hills Estate Subdivision

Alexander First Nation is proposing a new subdivision. The proposed project will be located southeast of the intersection of Township Road 563 and Range Road 11. Activities will include development of the parcel, including preparation/clearing of each subdivision lot, and construction of all utilities and roadways. Existing roadways will be used to access the development area and previously cleared (but undeveloped) pathways will be used to access all parts of the land parcel. To support the development, new utilities will be constructed: water services, water services for fire fighting, wastewater, stormwater drainage, power and telecommunications and natural gas.


Latest update

October 21, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
