Cold Lake First Nations: Casino Dene Expansion, Event Centre, Parking Project

On Cold Lake First Nations 149 Reserve, Casino Dene aims to expand their building to facilitate a larger slot machine equipment base. Some earth works and grading may be necessary to ensure the ground is level to support construction of the expansion. The CLFN Community Event Centre Project consists of using the existing commercial lands immediately north of Casino Dene to facilitate a space to host community events for the purpose of creating diversified revenue streams and supporting the ancestors vision of a "Livelihood for a Livelihood." The physical activities included but not limited to are the removal of existing topsoil and grading the land to support the construction of an event centre whose architectural design includes a stage, floor space, enclosed building with roof, enclosed walkway between existing CLFN businesses, and expanding the parking lot.
