Private Landowner Shoreline stabilization, Shore wall, Trent-Severn Waterway, Shoreline Works Permit 200013

In order to prevent erosion, the land owner is proposing to install a steel sheet pile wall approximately 61cm in height along 31m of shoreline to prevent erosion from boating and high water levels in springtime. The proposed project takes place along the shore of the Severn River in southern Ontario, in waters falling under the jurisdiction of Parks Canada and administered by Ontario Waterways, the Trent-Severn Waterway. The proposed project is located within an area identified as hosting Blanding's Turtle (SARA Endangered) Critical Habitat.
