The Proposed Project: Parking Lot Repaving at Toronto Pearson International Airport 

This project involves the following: 

As part of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority's (GTAA's) Toronto Pearson Airport Longterm Investment in Facilities & Terminals (LIFT) Program, the repaving of a parking lot will be required. The existing employee parking lot is located at 2498 Britannia Road East at Toronto Pearson International Airport.  

The project scope includes: 

The removal of the existing asphalt on a section of the parking lot with repaving of new asphalt, resetting storm drains (as required), repainting lines, and other parking lot rehabilitation (as required). Sustainability best practices will be integrated into both the design and construction phases, aligning with the broader Long-Term Investment in Facilities and Terminals (LIFT) Program at Toronto Pearson Airport.

July 7, 2026 - The GTAA intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the GTAA is inviting public comments until August 7, 2026 respecting that determination.
