Beerfarm Agrotourism Site

The proponent is requesting to make several modifications to their leased property to create a farm-to-table food, beverage, and retail experience within Rouge National Urban Park. The proposed project area currently features a farmhouse, barn, outbuildings, shipping containers, and a food truck. The proposed project features the construction of a 30-car gravel parking lot (approximately 60 m wide x 20 m deep) at the northern limit of the agricultural field on the east side of the property. In addition to the parking lot, they are proposing to import a seasonal mobile bathroom trailer (which does not require utility connections), and a seasonal market tent in the area south of the barn and auxiliary structures. The proponent is looking to modify and utilize several prefabricated structures that are currently onsite, which include a food truck for food preparation and service, two shipping containers for bars, food storage, and seating areas, and a fire pit for cooking and special events. Walkways around property may be gravelled and will create a path that connects to an official Rouge National Urban Park Trail.
