Construction of a Winter Maintenance Yard, Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden

Real Properties Operations Detachment Borden ( RP OPS) is planning to construct a winter maintenance yard south of the existing Building O-95 transport compound. The compound is anticipated to be 50 m X 80 m (4,000 m2) with a building footprint of 34 m X 40 m (1,360 m2). The area will be used for the storage and distribution of sand and salt reserves for snow and ice control.

March 4, 2020— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
