Keswick Post Office Site Remediation

This project involves remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater under the paved area of the property, which has been historically impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons from a former underground storage tank (previously removed). An environmental consultant will be on-site during the remediation and will oversee the contractors and conduct sampling activities. Impacted soil and liquid material (as necessary) will be excavated, trucked and disposed of at approved disposal facilities in accordance with applicable legislation. Following the completion of the removal activities, the excavation will be backfilled with clean material and the area will be reinstated.

Latest update

November 17, 2020 – Canada Post issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
