Municipal Water Infrastructure, City of Pickering Zone 4 and 5

The Regional Municipality of Durham proposes to construct a potable water storage reservoir and pumping station to service Zone 4 and Zone 5 water pressure district in the City of Pickering.

 

This project comprises of the following components :

• An underground reinforced concrete potable water reservoir to service Pressure Zone 4 within the City of Pickering. The reservoir will have a design capacity of 11,525 m3 (11.5 ML) with provision for future expansion.

• A new pumping station to service Pressure Zone 5.

• Connections from the 600 mm diameter watermains to and from the proposed reservoir and pumping station.

• A sanitary service connection for the reservoir and pumping station site to the proposed municipal sanitary sewer.

•A stormwater management pond.

•A bulk water filling station.
