Whitby West Pier Repairs 2021

Fisheries and Oceans Canada intends to complete a West Pier Repair Project at Whitby Small Craft Harbour located on Lake Ontario in the Town of Whitby, Ontario. The repairs will occur along a 27m section on the channel side of the west pier where some damage was sustained. The proposed project includes demolition, removal and disposal of existing concrete deck; realignment of the damaged section of sheet pilings and installation of new tiebacks and wales; rock placement to fill voids; replacement of steel pile caps; and pouring of a new concrete deck.

Latest update

August 27, 2021 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada Small Craft Harbours has issued it's Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
