Nipissing First Nation - 20 Unit Subdivision Project

Nipissing First Nation is proposing micro subdivision development project. The project involves clearing approximately 30,000 m2 of forested land to construct 20 housing units, each with a footprint of 100 m2, within the community.  Physical activities include clearing, grubbing, lot grading, road construction, and utility installations. The utility hookups will be approximately 150m in length with connections to existing water and sewer infrastructure.

January 5, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
