Nipissing First Nation - New Road Development: Yellek to Duchesnay

Nipissing First Nation is in the process of designing and constructing a new roadway along an abandoned CN railway bed. The new 4.4km roadway will include two (2) connecting roadways with railway crossings that will connect the main roadway to Nova Beaucage Road in Yellek and Goulais Crescent in Duchesnay and a multi-use lane for pedestrians/cyclists along the south shoulder of the entire length of the proposed roadway and the replacement of six (6) crossing culverts.


Latest update

8 October 2021 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada, and Environment and Climate Change Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause adverse environmental effects.
