Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Bulk Storage Laydown Area

In support of ongoing operations at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL), the construction of a laydown area is proposed at the Atomic Energy of Canada (AECL), Chalk River Laboratories (CRL) site.  The new laydown area will provide a centralized location to store supplies that support waste management operations at the CRL site.   The proposed site for the facility is located on approximately 1,200 m2 of previously disturbed land.  The physical activities associated with this project include levelling and grading a granular pad and the installation of approximately 200 m of fencing.  All these physical activities will be conducted in accordance with CNL's Environmental Policy and applicable legislation.
