Product Transfer Area and Storage Tank System Upgrades at 22 Wing

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. 22 Wing/CFB North Bay is proposing removal and upgrades to eleven (11) existing petroleum storage tank systems to meet Federal Regulations and applicable codes.

Project activities will include:

  • Removal and replacement of existing infrastructure at select locations, including, but not limited to, petroleum storage tanks, generator systems, bollards, and concrete pads;
  • Repairs and upgrades to existing infrastructure and systems; and
  • Site restoration, including landscaping and re-establishment of existing grades, as required.

August 31, 2026 - The Department of National Defence intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the Department of National Defence is inviting public comments until September 30, 2026 respecting that determination.
