Lodge at Bow Lake Contaminated Site Remediation

The Lodge at Bow Lake is proposing to remediate contaminated soils from historic fuelling practices at the site between 1970 and 2013. Work will involve the removal of contaminated soils to a licensed landfill, backfilling with clean material and post remediation monitoring.


Latest update

August 19, 2026 – Parks Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Parks Canada is inviting public comments until September 18, 2026 respecting that determination.
