Tunney's Pasture Sewer Repair

The project involves repairs and rehabilitation of portions of the existing storm and sanitary sewer infrastructure at Tunney's Pasture Campus. The work is based on recommendations from a sewer infrastructure assessment completed in 2023.
The project will address localized areas requiring repair within the campus sewer network to help maintain the long-term reliability of these services. Work may include repairs to pipe connections, rehabilitation of existing sewer lines, and replacement of small sections of piping where required. The total length of pipe identified for repair across the entire Campus is estimated at approximately 181 meters.
To minimize disruption, trenchless rehabilitation methods, such as pipe relining, will be used where feasible. Limited excavation may be required in some locations depending on site conditions and the selected repair approach. Soil investigations and related testing may also be conducted as necessary to support design and construction activities.
The majority of work areas are located within existing roadways, paved surfaces, and sidewalks. No impacts on trees are anticipated, and no effects on Species at Risk are expected.
As the project is currently in the planning and design stage, the specific repair methods and construction requirements for all locations have not yet been finalized. Work will occur at various locations across Tunney's Pasture Campus.
