Decontamination and deconstruction of facilities and rehabilitation of the land - CIOS St-Rémi

The proposed project aims to reinstate the property located at 1239, rue de l'Église in Saint-Rémi, through the removal of all the existing anthropogenic structures and infrastructures and by the environmental rehabilitation of the land. The targeted property is owned by Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and covers an area of 65 hectares.

The project includes:

  • Decontamination and deconstruction of facilities on the property either; the building, garage and telecommunications antenna;
  • Site restoration, including soil remediation to bring the land back under the CCME federal industrial criteria and the MELCCFP provincial agricultural criteria grading.
  • Management and legal disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous materials and contaminated soil (sorting, temporary storage, off-site disposal);
  • Site clean-up and remediation.
