YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel - Replacement of four petroleum product tanks at Pratt & Withney's Plant 15 site

Pratt & Whitney plans to replace the four (4) aboveground tanks that are part of the Jet-A1 fuel distribution and storage system (Aircraft Fuel Oil Fleet). Current tanks need to be replaced because of a defect in weld integrity that reduces weld life and poses a long-term risk. The new tanks were designed according to the same parameters as the existing tanks. Therefore, there are no configuration changes to the distribution and storage system. The project is therefore limited to the replacement of a component of the existing system. Each tank has an individual capacity of 117,500 liters (31,000 US gallons) for Jet-A1 storage and distribution.
