Stormline Replacement

The Ottawa International Airport Authority (OIAA) will be replacing the storm line headed west of the property to ensure the integrity of the stormwater system before the start of the 2026-2027 de-icing season. The project will also include the installation of new valves and an infiltration basin to better manage stormwater flows, reduce pressure on the system, and help prevent flooding during heavy rainfall and snowmelt events.

Latest update

August 11, 2026 – The OIAA intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the OIAA is inviting public comments until September 10, 2026 respecting that determination.
