Restoration of Denis Creek banks at YUL Montreal-Trudeau International Airport

Denis Creek crosses Montreal-Trudeau airport territory in the northwest sector of the site near Boulevard des Sources. The banks of this watercourse show erosion on certain sections. In order to remedy this issue and ensure that the water quality of the stream is maintained, a bank redevelopment project will be carried out. During this first phase, work will be carried out on a section approximately 40 meters long. The embankment will be redeveloped since the slope is very significant. Then, the banks will be ripraped in order to quickly stabilize them and prevent them from falling apart. Finally, the developed areas will be seeded to avoid leaving the soil bare. During the work, measures will be put in place, such as sediment barriers, to protect the watercourse.
