MacLaren Pond Trail Enhancement

The MacLaren Pond Trail Enhancement project is intended to rehabilitate the trail by removing the western section of the trail tread from the riparian and flood zone and replacing it with a new section of natural surface benchcut trail and boardwalk. Other sections of the trail will be widened, reshaped and resurfaced to industry standards. The proposed trail enhancement will encourage ecological and conservation gains while improving the front country offer by providing a trail that is more easily accessible to those who have mobility and visual impairment challenges. In addition, interpretive panels in indigenous language with audible buttons for verbal readout of panel content in multiple languages and brail will be installed.
