Location 1: Development of Borrow Pit and Access Roads- 5th Canadian Division Support Base, Gagetown

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. This Project involves the activities and components related to the development of a borrow pit on the north and south sides of Shirley Road, west of the Ammunition Storage Area. The Project will provide required borrow for anticipated road upgrades in the eastern part of the Range Training Area. The project will include clearing and grubbing of the site, development of the borrow pit, and ongoing operation of the pit.

July 13, 2026 — The authorities issued their Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
