Neqotkuk Women's Shelter

Tobique First Nation is proposing to build a Women's Shelter. The project consists of a single storey building with 8 total units. The total project building area is approximately 560 sq m and construction will include the building and parking areas.  Project activities include clearing and grubbing, the installation of access driveway/parking, construction of foundations, backfill and grading, utilities and services including well and septic as well as power and communication lines.

04-08-2023 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and Indigenous Services Canada are considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
