Eel River Bar - Child and Family Service Building

The project consist of the construction of a Child and Family Service single story building of approximately 12,000 sq ft which will have offices for the employees, a boardroom, community room and culture area that could be also be used for community events and a fitness room. The total project area is approximately 45,000 sq ft and will include the building and parking area.  Project activities include clearing and grubbing and the  installation of utilities and services including water and sewer lines as well as power and communication lines.

The proposed project site is currently located on band-owned lands which is in the process of being added to reserve.

February 10, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until March 12, 2023 respecting that determination.
