Addition of Armourstone Protection at the Petit-Shippagan Small Craft Harbour, Gloucester County, New Brunswick

The project involves the addition of armourstone shoreline protection to structure 602 at the Petit-Shippagan Small Craft Harbour, Gloucester County, New Brunswick (Harbour Code 2580). The structure has an existing foot print of 170 m2. The existing armourstone is under sized and does not adequately protect the access road behind it. The proposed project consist of adding one to two tons armourstone witch will result in a new footprint of 470 m2.

January 4th, 2022 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Small Craft Harbours is considering comments received to date to inform its determination on whether carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
